Voyagers: Alex, Mo, Ray

Alexandra

Alexandra Baird is a recent graduate from the University of North Carolina at Greensboro. She studied Human Development and Family Studies, while simultaneously completing her teaching licensure for birth through Kindergarten age children. Her passion for children has continued to grow over the last ten years as she has worked with children in many different environments. She currently resides in Mebane, NC, and will be moving to Raleigh after she gets married in April 2016. She is excited about continuing my journey here at The Little School with both fantastic co-workers and some amazing children.

Mo

Mo has proudly been a part of The Little School since 2013.  Mo attended Shaw University and Durham Tech., where she graduated with an Associate’s Degree in Early Childhood Education.  She is also the mother of three beautiful children, two daughters and a son.  Mo was born and raised in North Carolina, with a personality that’s guaranteed to put a smile on your face, young or old.  Together with a team of amazing and creative teachers, she is committed to providing your family with a loving and developmentally sound foundation for a lifetime of learning.  Mo believes that play is a child’s most important work, and she strives to create and maintain an environment where your child can grow and thrive, while exploring the world around them.  She is very thankful that our parents are sharing their precious children with her!

Ray

Rachel has lived in NC since she was four years old, and enjoyed an eclectic student-led homeschool curriculum until she returned to her hometown of Staunton, VA to attend Mary Baldwin College for her senior year of high school.  There she studied Math, Music, and Shakespeare, while serving as an officer in the campus Writing Club.  Rachael returned to NC and successfully completed EMT training. Serving as a volunteer tutor and substitute at The Hawbridge Charter School, in Saxapahaw, NC, she discovered her true passion for education.  She eagerly anticipates putting all of her past and future studies and experiences into work and further studies in the field of Early Childhood Education.  Her other interests include baking and needlework, and she’s recently discovered the joys of video gaming.
