Nita grew up on the west coast, but most of her childhood was spent in southern California. She started working with children as a baby-sitter, until her church needed volunteers to work one on one with children. She decided to volunteer. That decision changed the course of her life. She went from wanting to be an architect to wanting to be a teacher. She has worked with children from the age of six weeks to twelve years old. In April 2007, her family and her moved across the country to the east coast. It took a little bit to get use to the way of the south. She now prefers North Carolina. In the spring of 2018 after a long road, she graduated with an Associate Degree in Early Childhood Education. In her free time she enjoys reading, traveling, and spending time with family and friends.
