Claricia lives in Mebane, North Carolina. She has lived in North Carolina all her life. She has worked with children for over five years from being a nanny, to a floater and to a teacher’s assistant; but she has been around children all her life. She has a large family with seven sisters and brother and a ton of nieces and nephews. After high school, Claricia earned her Bachelor’s degree in Psychology with a minor in Social Work and Sociology. She continued her education to pursue a Master’s in Human Services with a concentration in Not-for-profit Management. However, she felt that she wanted to expand her learning, so she obtained her second Master’s in Education with a concentration in Curriculum, Instruction, and Assessment. Children have always been her passion since at a very early age; they are innocent and full of life. Children can brighten up your day, even when you feel lost or sad. She is grateful and ecstatic to join The Little School at Duke and to be a part of a well round organization. She is happy to learn from everyone and meet all the families that are a part of The Little School. She loves to listen to music, fishing, great movies, and spending time with her family.
